Is it possible to visit the castle on my own?

No, it is not. Sobroso Castle only offers guided tours and they last approximately from 50 to 60 minutes, with a maximum of 15 participants each. The tours take visitors on a journey through the history of the castle from multiple perspectives. Moreover, the different rooms are equipped with audiovisual devices that turn the spaces into a multi-sensory experience for visitors, using images, lighting and sound.

Is it possible to walk the paths and visit the outdoor recreational areas of the property on my own or must the castle be open?

You can access the property from 10 am until closing time in the evening (from 6 pm in winter and 8 pm in summer), so you can stay there and walk the botanical paths or use the recreational areas during this period of time, even when the castle is closed at midday.

How do I access the castle?

You can access by car, through the main entrance gate. If you drive along the road, you will reach the car park.

As for buses, access is via the road that runs parallel to the castle property, following the parking signs for this type of vehicles. There is a parking area in front of the pedestrian entrance. Then, visitors must go up the ramp to access the fortress.

It is a 5-minute walk from the parking area.

Is it necessary to book my tour in advance?

It is recommended to purchase tickets in advance, as the tours have limited capacity. The process takes no more than five minutes and is done directly on our website (https://castelodesobroso.sacatuentrada.es/). Tickets are sent immediately to your e-mail address and do not need to be printed out, just show them on your mobile phone.

In the case of group visits, you must book them in advance.

Students and their teachers can visit Sobroso Castle free of charge. Since the maximum number of visitors per room is 15, they are divided into groups of 14 students and one teacher, who will stay in a room for no longer than 15 minutes. No more than 60 participants are allowed per day.

Pets are allowed, but only outside the castle, always on a leash. Please note that there are no litter bins.
